**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to uphold food safety regulations
- Cook menu items as directed by kitchen supervisors, maintaining consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support meal preparation during busy periods, including plating and garnishing dishes
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service
- Light housekeeping on shift-change days in cabins (will train)
**Experience**
- Previous experience working in a remote setting (hunting/fishing lodge)
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and meal preparation techniques is advantageous
- Experience with cooking or food industry roles demonstrates familiarity with kitchen operations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
This position is located in a remote location in Ontario with no cell service (satellite WIFI is provided) and accommodations provided are rustic and remote cabins at the main lodge.
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From $19.75 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
