Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Autism Assessment and Diagnosis

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive autism assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, including but not limited to clinical interviews, behavioral observations, standardized assessments, and parent/guardian interviews.
- Administer and interpret a variety of standardized diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R, CARS, and others) to assess autism spectrum disorders and related conditions.
- Provide detailed, clear, and accurate diagnostic reports that summarize assessment findings, offer diagnostic impressions, and recommend next steps for treatment and support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including registered behaviour analysts, speech and language pathologists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Counsel and provide support to clients and families during and after the diagnostic process, including delivering diagnoses with empathy and clarity.
- Offer recommendations for treatment, educational accommodations, and community resources tailored to the needs of individuals diagnosed with autism.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research, diagnostic criteria, and best practices for autism spectrum disorders.
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and professional development activities as needed

Qualifications:

- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited program.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario
- Significant experience and training in autism assessment, including administration of diagnostic tools such as the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
- Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, including diagnostic criteria, interventions, and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex diagnostic information to clients and families.
- Empathy and cultural competence in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience in providing counseling or therapeutic support for individuals and families impacted by autism is preferred.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Additional certifications or training in autism-related fields (e.g., BCBA, ADHD assessments).
- Experience with specialized autism interventions or therapies (e.g., ABA therapy).

Working Conditions: This position may involve both in-office and telehealth services, with flexible scheduling options available. The clinical psychologist will be expected to work closely with families, clients, and a team of professionals to deliver high-quality care.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $200.00-$300.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 6 per week
