Under the direction of the General Manager (GM), co-ordinates, implements, and evaluates resident care activities and programs pursuant to current legislative mandates pertaining to retirement homes. Interpret and execute PaC policies; direct and supervise professional nursing and auxiliary staff providing resident care services; coordinate cross-functional departmental activities related to resident care; ensure appropriate quality improvement activities are in place.

You will be expected to represent Shepherd Village courteously and professionally, while maintaining amicable relationships with peers, subordinates, Residents & families in keeping with the Shepherd Village Mission, Vision & Values.
- A Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Previous experience in seniors' care and services, preferably in retirement living or long-term care environments.
- At least three (3) years' experience in a leadership role.
- Current CPR certification
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, Point Click Care or similar resident care software programs.
- Good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and practices
- Familiar with workplace investigations and incident reporting
- Possesses excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent oral & written communication skills in English language required
- Ability to stay organized and effectively communicate with others in a high demand environment
- Excellent organizational traits, positive approach, patience, empathy and tactfulness
