**Job Title: Azure Governance Subject Matter Expert (SME)**

**Location**: Montreal, Canada

**Contract Type**: 24-month contract, renewable every 6 months

**Hourly Rate**: $140-$160 per hour

Hollingsgate Recruitment is excited to partner with a Major Tech Company in Montreal, seeking a skilled Azure Governance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join their dynamic team. As an Azure Governance SME, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing platform governance strategies, with a focus on modern service management within Azure environments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and implementation of Azure governance frameworks and best practices.
- Design and implement platform governance strategies to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency within Azure environments.
- Provide expertise and guidance on modern service management practices, including resource provisioning, monitoring, and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and improve Azure governance processes and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Azure governance and platform management.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Azure Governance Subject Matter Expert (SME), with a strong understanding of platform governance and modern service management principles.
- Deep knowledge of Azure services and capabilities, with hands-on experience in implementing Azure governance frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation tools for Azure governance, such as PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure Policy.
- Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance standards, such as CIS benchmarks and GDPR.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience delivering Azure governance solutions within a professional services organization is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutions.
