**Purpose**:
The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (LA&PS) is the largest Faculty at York University with over 24,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and almost 100 programs delivered through 25 Departments, Schools and Colleges, plus the IBM Markham location. Through innovative course design, diverse experiential education and learning opportunities, and a supportive community environment, our students receive the education they need to create big ideas that have an impact on the world.The Graduate Program Administrator (GPA) is responsible for supporting the graduate program, providing administrative support, advice and guidance to the Graduate Program Director (GPD), faculty and students, and providing information on University, Faculty and unit policies, procedures and regulations related to the graduate program. The GPA provides continuity, historical perspective and transitional support to GPDs during their term appointments. The Graduate Program Administrator will support the vision, mission, values and strategic direction of the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and York University, and contribute to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of high performance, respect, trust, collaboration and continuous improvement. embraces diversity and fosters inclusion.
**Education**:
College Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent (e.g. one year of related University courses)
**Experience**:
Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in an academic School/Department, including supporting academic and administrative processes and activities, providing degree and certificate information to students, and customer service. some knowledge of graduate program degree requirements and processes are required
