**About the role**:
As an Operational Buyer you will to take an active part in shaping and growing together with the developing organisation. You will manage the negotiation and issuance of global purchase orders and contracts.
You will report to the Supply Chain Manager, WPB and I&C Regional Operations and be located at Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. You will work a hybrid work arrangement of 1 - 3 days per week onsite.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Lead commercial sourcing negotiations for issuance of purchase orders and contracts
Requests for quotations through RFQ/RFP and other methods, analyzing contract proposals, risk assessment, negotiating pricing, delivery, and Terms &Conditions aligned to our standards for materials, equipment, components, and services for assigned commodities
- Manage the sourcing process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and contract signature
- Lead cost savings and reductions
- Conduct risk analysis of selected suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints
- Facilitate contract change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, renewals, and termination notices
- Have experience managing supplier relations, resolving issues and improving supplier performance. Negotiating resolution of scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes
- Maintain accurate status, documentation, and data for each allocated contract in the contract management system
- Implement implementation of our supply chain strategies
**Qualifications**:
- BA in Supply Chain, Business or similar
- Track record: minimum 2 years of experience in global sourcing
- Experience making decisions
- Use SAP, Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is desirable
- Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated
