**We are currently recruiting for a Heavy Duty Cleaner in Purdy's Wharf Halifax, NS**

**Location**: Purdy's Wharf Halifax, NS

**Shift/Hours**: Monday-Friday 5pm-10pm

**Wage**:$16.20/hour

**General Description**:
The Heavy-Duty Cleaner is responsible for carpet shampooing, deep scrubbing hard surface floors, Strip/scrub & recoat wax floors & other tasks as assigned.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure that safety is made a priority, abiding by all electrical and Health and Safety regulations.
- General maintenance & cleaning of floor equipment. Notify supervisor of any defects or repairs needed. Complete equipment logs daily.
- Follow schedules as prepared by the supervisor for tasks to be completed.
- Carpet shampoo, carpet spotting & hot water extraction.
- Machine scrubbing of hard surface flooring.
- Strip & refinish waxed flooring.
- Scrub & recoat waxed flooring.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.

**Requirements**:

- 1+ years of experience.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintains a high level of accountability.
- Sound thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- A clear criminal background is a job requirement.
