Mississauga, Canada Cornerstone Family Counselling Services Full time

Part-Time Intake and Administrative Specialist

Are you passionate about mental health and ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where compassion and teamwork are key? If so, we invite you to join our team as an **Intake and Administrative (IA) Specialist** at our growing mental health counseling clinic.

**About the Role**

As an IA Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, helping them navigate their journey toward mental health and wellbeing. You’ll gather essential information, assess their needs, and ensure they are matched with the appropriate therapist. You’ll also be responsible for confirming bookings, managing transactions, and maintaining accurate records in Jane App. Beyond intake, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our clinic runs smoothly; stocking supplies, preparing therapy rooms, and keeping everything in working order for each client’s visit.
This position is perfect for someone who excels in a compassionate, client-focused environment, values collaboration, and can maintain calm under pressure. You’ll have the chance to support clients directly while contributing to the overall efficiency of the clinic.

**About Us**

From the very beginning, the mission of Cornerstone Family Counselling Services has been to provide compassionate care and support, inspired by the words of Jesus: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). We are committed to offering a place of healing and peace where every individual—regardless of faith or background—can find strength for their journey.
In John 10, Jesus reminds us that He came to give us life, and life to the full. At Cornerstone, we are captivated by the idea that each person can flourish in the fullness of life, gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, others, and the world that belongs to God.
We rely on Jesus’s instruction to “Love as I have loved you” (John 13: 34-35). Jesus not only enacts God’s vision of a new heaven and earth, but he also shows us the way - the way of love and life.
These beliefs form the foundation of our essential work to remove barriers to mental wellness. We do this work to show all the people we serve their capacity as God’s creations to heal deeply and live life to their fullest potential.
Our work - whether directly or indirectly with the people we are called to serve - is good, hard work. We celebrate every client, every session, and every healing journey as good and beautiful. We value each person - our staff, our clients, and our partners and funders - recognizing that our collective efforts are what drive our mission forward.
In our role as psychotherapists, we equip the people we serve by living into Jesus’ vision of rest (Matthew 11:28). We invite them to experience an inner peace and fulfillment that surpasses human understanding.
At Cornerstone, we believe in the power of community and the strength found in compassionate, faith-integrated care. Together, we strive to create a space where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their fullest potential.

**What You’ll Do**
- Welcome clients warmly and conduct intake interviews to assess their mental health needs.
- Help clients select an appropriate therapist based on their unique needs.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, while managing financial transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain the clinic’s calendar, manage client bookings, and ensure therapy rooms are ready.
- Use the Jane App to track client information and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with therapists and administrative staff to ensure seamless client care.
- Ensure office supplies are stocked, and all facilities are functioning smoothly for each client visit.
- Follow up with clients to provide ongoing support and handle any scheduling or service-related concerns.

**About You**
- You have a passion for supporting individuals on their mental health journey.
- You excel in client service, communication, and thrive in a team-based environment.
- You recognize that actions during your shift directly impact the effectiveness of the next team member. As a result, you collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
- You have experience working in a healthcare or mental health setting and are comfortable managing sensitive information.
- You’re organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Jane App.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
- You are willing to work part-time.

**Why Join Us?**

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team in a supportive, mission-driven environment where you can truly make a difference. You’ll grow professionally while playing a vital role in the lives of clients seeking mental health support.
