**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete construction tasks effectively and on schedule.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials using appropriate machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding project progress and equipment status.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is preferred.
- Experience with farm machinery is a plus.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years experience operating heavy equipment in a civil construction environment
- Must be physically capable of working outdoors in all weather
- Valid driver’s license required (Class 5 minimum)
- CSTS-2020, Ground Disturbance, and WHMIS are strong assets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must live in the Calgary area and have reliable transportation
