**Job Summary**:
Custodial Staff are responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance duties at customer locations. Custodial staff will use supplies, equipment, and machinery to perform duties, maintain a clean and safe worksite, and maintain a secure worksite.

**Essential Duties**:

- Wiping clean various surfaces and furnishings commonly found in offices, washrooms, kitchens, building corridors, clinical treatment rooms
- Vacuuming carpets and area rugs
- Sweeping and mopping floors, using floor cleaning machines
- Replacing garbage, recycling, and organics bags, removing trash
- Managing checklists

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES**:

- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, supplies, chemicals, products, and equipment
- Knowledge of the workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS)
- Ability to work under minimum or no supervision
- Decision making and problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills
- Time management Skills
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Must maintain strict confidentiality in performing the duties.

**Physical Demands**:

- Walking
- Bending
- Kneeling
- Vacuuming
- Machine operating (if applicable)
- Lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs

**Environmental Conditions**:
The custodial works on a daily basis with dangerous and toxic cleaning products and chemicals that can be very harmful to ones health if not properly utilized. In some cases the chemicals give off harmful and unpleasant odors. The custodial may also occasionally have to clean up blood spills, saliva, and other bodily fluids that are hazard to health.

**The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's) is required while working.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 6-20 per week

**Salary**: $17.25-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Cleaning is after hours. Exposure to other persons are very limited. PPE is on site and available at all times. Policies and Procedures have been implemented to further the safety of both our staff and clients.
