**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assists with the production of graphics material for the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union
- Acts as a support for graphics programs, design and layout for the students’ union campaigns, events and its services.
- Works collaboratively with the TMSU Executives and staff to assist with areas related to graphic design and the TMSU’s image library.
- Works to provide and assists with visual images for the TMSU website and TMSU’s social media sites as required.
- As required, to attend TMSU events and document using different media forms, that may include a digital camera, video camera and other means as established.
- Support the marketing and communication delivery of the TMSU's services to the rest of the student body.
- Performs administrative support such as sorting, filing, data entry and processing paperwork where required.
- Assists in the rebranding of the students’ union in a variety of designs as required.
- Adheres to the students’ union branding and style guides, as well as standards set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

**SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS**:

- Experience with design programs, particularly with Adobe Illustrator & Adobe InDesign
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work within deadlines.
- The ability to multi-task and accomplish many goals simultaneously, while under pressure is key.
- Knowledge of graphic and web design
- Experience working in an office environment - knowledgeable on the systems and resources necessary to allow for the efficient operation of the office
- The ability to be self motivated and work independently
- An understanding of the dynamics and diversity of an urban university
- Must be currently enrolled at Toronto Metropolitan University
- Technical or Software Knowledge Required:_
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with computer and design software including, Illustrator CS6, InDesign CS6, Photoshop CS6, Adobe Acrobat CS6 and MS Office
- Proficient on Mac and/or PC platforms
