**JANITOR**

**Maple Root Academy** is looking for a **Janitor** to join our team in **Mississauga, ON.**

**Summary: Cleaner needed after hours 5PM onwards.**

**Monday-Friday for 2 hours each day.**

**Responsibilities**:
**Cleaning and Sanitizing**: Perform regular cleaning duties throughout the school, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces, to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.

**Restroom Maintenance**: Ensure restrooms are cleaned daily.

**Trash Disposal**: Collect and dispose of trash from classrooms, offices, and common areas, following proper waste management and recycling procedures.

**Maintenance Assistance**: Report any maintenance issues, such as leaks, broken fixtures, or equipment malfunctions.

**Security Measures**: Ensure that all doors and windows are properly secured after school hours to maintain the safety and security of the school premises.

**Stock and Inventory**: Monitor and maintain janitorial supplies and equipment, and inform the school administrator when supplies need to be replenished.

**Health and Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the safe use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Willingness to clean evenings and weekends, if needed.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week

**Salary**: $1,000.00-$1,500.00 per month
