Summary
The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for picking orders, double checking orders, posting invoices, and boxing orders. Other responsibilities will include mixing paint, stocking shelves, and assisting the shipper and/or receiver as required. The Warehouse Associate must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Job Duties
During the employees 8 hour shift they are expected to be capable of performing the following tasks repetitively throughout the day: lifting heavy loads (Up to 75 lbs), climbing up and down stairs and ladders to reach goods, pulling and/or pushing wheeled carts or floor jacks with goods, and working on their feet
Pick orders, paying close attention to detail
Double check orders, post invoices, box orders as required (label boxes and piece count)
Pick all orders by days end
Mix and/or tint paint
Pick, double check, skid branch transfers
Deliver goods to customer base if necessary
Participate in bi-weekly perpetual counts
Effectively communicate problems or issues to the Warehouse Coordinator
Stock shelves
Advise counter staff of back orders
Assist receiver and shipper as required
Maintain a tidy work environment both inside and outside the premises. This includes but is not limited to emptying garbage at the end of the day, sweeping, pouring off paint, tidying stock shelves, etc.
Maintain a professional and courteous manner in all dealings with all staff
Follow all established company policies and procedures
Make deliveries with a company vehicle as assigned.
Any other job-related duties as required or assigned
**Requirements**:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous warehouse experience considered an asset.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Basic mathematical skills.
Valid driver's license (non GDL) and good driving record are mandatory.
Working knowledge of safe lifting methods.
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
Attention to detail in all areas of work.
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Dependable.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work on your feet and to lift heavy loads, up to 75 lbs.
Steel toe work boots are to be worn at all times.
Working Conditions
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Overtime as required.
Lifting or moving up to 75 lbs. may be required.
Work is performed in a combination of environments.
This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils.
