**Responsibilities**:
The School Age Supervisor will be responsible for the shared leadership, supervision, and administration of the school age program. They will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with The School Age Care Coordinator and other educators in implementing a progressive and innovative program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach in conjunction with BC’s Early Learning Framework. This program drops off and picks up children from neighbouring schools and therefore being able to obtain their Class 4 Driver’s License is an asset.

Qualifications and other responsibilities include:

- Minimum Responsible Adult for School Age program, ECE or degree in relevant area is an asset
- Minimum 2 year’s experience working in a childcare facility or similar programs
- Willingness to obtain Class 4 Driver’s License is an asset
- Experience and passion working with children of all abilities
- Ability to implement emergent programming based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach
- Must fully understand the Early Learning Framework (BC) and able to lead the team in implementing its components
- Strength in building and maintaining supportive and collaborative partnerships with families and children
- Eagerness to build a collaborative, supportive and dynamic team in a non-profit and volunteer-based organization
- Ability to nurture the strengths and talents of the staff team and build a team committed to achieving common goals
- Experience in effectively leading and inspiring staff, volunteers, and practicum students
- Positive attitude, flexibility, adaptability, sensitivity, creativity, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor
- Passion for ongoing professional development and growth
- Ability to work in a multicultural and inclusive environment
- Must be able to demonstrate strong communication, planning, organizational, and leadership skills
- First Aid Certificate

**Hours**:35hrs/wk and **includes a split shift: 7:30-9:00 and 2:30 to 6:00 **plus admin time
