Role Summary
The Cultivation Technician assists with the day-to-day maintenance of the grow operation and ensuring compliance to Health Canada’s Cannabis Regulations and following Health and Safety protocols. This role is responsible for the execution of cultivation, sanitation, and processing tasks throughout the facility pursuant to relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
Roles Responsibilities
- Adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures related to the tasks, as directed by a Lead Grower and/or Management, including but not limited to cultivation tasks, sanitation tasks, and/or processing tasks.
- Responsible for accurately completing appropriate documentation and records as directed by the Lead Grower and/or Management.
- Responsible to promptly report any deviations from Standard Operating Procedures to the Lead Grower.
- Responsible to ensure safe work procedures are being followed and to report hazards and unsafe work to Lead Grower, or Health & Safety representative.
- Cultivation tasks may include, but are not limited to: Mother Maintenance, Taking Cuttings, Transplanting, Trellising, Pruning, Harvesting, Shucking, Ensuring plant health, cleaning grow area, maintenance and monitoring of systems
- Responsible for providing your own transportation to and from work.

Required Qualifications
**Formal Education or Equivalent**:
High school diploma or equivalent
Competencies, Specialized Skills or Knowledge unique to this role:
- Basic math skills
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Possess the horticultural skills to provide proper plant health care
- Prior experience working in greenhouse or agricultural experience
Expected Hours of Work
Can work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays if necessary
Physical requirements
- Have the physical ability to sit, squat, bend, lift, push, pull 50 pounds and kneel repetitively throughout a workday
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Environmental Conditions
The cultivation technician is exposed to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides at the facility. As well as fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water.
