Gemmell’s has an opening for a repair and maintenance handyperson for a variety of jobs at the garden centre. Full-time position. Tasks would include various construction projects including greenhouses, benches, displays and more. Maintenance of various equipment as well as property maintenance. You will also be support to the retail staff for seasonal setup. Working in a team as well as individually to accomplish tasks.

Some delivery and/or driving involved. G licence with clean abstract required. Experience driving with trailers would be an asset. Physically fit and able to work onsite.

**Summary**

As a Maintenance Handyman/woman, you will be a vital part of our team, utilizing your core skills in English, mechanical knowledge, and facilities maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. Your premium skills in supervising experience and electrical knowledge will be valuable in overseeing maintenance tasks and troubleshooting issues effectively. With relevant skills in customer service and leadership, you will also interact with various stakeholders and lead maintenance projects. Your ability to drive will be essential for traveling to different sites and addressing maintenance needs promptly. **Qualifications**
- Proficient in English
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and schematics
- Skilled in facilities maintenance and repair
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks efficiently
- Previous experience in supervising a team
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and CMMS
- Welding and electrical experience
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills
- Valid driver's license for driving requirements

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
