**Specific Accountabilities**:
Responsible for the planning and delivery of School of Technology and Trades Programs and Training.
- Identifies, develops and evaluates the courses/programs the School of Technology and Trades.
- Develops and maintains curriculum working to ensure that indigenization, principles of equity, diversity and inclusion and sustainability are incorporated into programing.
- Conducts current needs analysis and reviews educational trends and assists in grant writing and proposals for new funding opportunities
- Assess and make recommendations to support the delivery of the programs such as facilities, equipment and services
- Assess and work with Health and Safety to ensure safety is embedded into programing and a safe environment is provided in the School.
- Develop and maintain online course/micro credential offerings.
- Liaise with other divisions such as Continuing Education, Research and the Innovation Institute for collaborative projects.
- Student relations activity including advising/responding to potential students regarding course selections and pre-requisites
- Create/develop opportunities for revenue generation
- Maintains a high level of performance through recruiting, selecting, training, developing and evaluating staff and adjunct faculty.
- Participates in the establishment of enrollment targets and continually monitors budget data for identified training programs.
- Works with Dean/Chair in developing program costing for new initiatives both long and short term
Accountable for arranging a variety of marketing and partnership efforts such as:
- Identifies and implements strategies to promote individual programs and courses
- Develop a framework to review programs and curriculums through an equity lens
- Identifies new target markets for special programming the development of new technologies
- Ensures that the departmental budget is used effectively by optimal use of human, fiscal and physical resources; plans and controls budgetary operations particularly with respect to adjunct faculty.
**About the Position**:
The Program Manager is a full time Administrative staff position reporting to the Dean of Technology and Trades, working 35 hours per week.
The Program Manager, is accountable for identifying, developing, marketing, staffing and evaluating a number of courses, programs and services offered by School of Technology and Trades. The Manager is responsible for the effective operation and delivery of the courses/programs within the School of Technology and Trades and for assisting with proposals for externally funded initiatives.
**Qualifications**:
- A four year Degree in a related field required
- Masters Degree in a related field and/or Bachelors of Education or Masters of Education is an asset
- 5 years experience in an Academic setting required
