isaiah tubbs resort is located in Prince Edward County, Ontario's most rapidly developing culinary mecca. We are looking for a team member to elevate our restaurant to the next level. This position requires reliable personal transportation as no public transportation is available.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen
- Collaborate with Restaurant Manager and Sales Manager to create innovative menu for the restaurant, banquet and conference facilities
- Hire, train, schedule and supervise all kitchen staff
- Manage inventory and continually strive to improve food and labour costs
- Employ a hands-on role to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain high levels of food quality and safety practices
- Create a safe, inclusive environment for all staff and clientele
**Skills**:
- Proven experience in a leadership role in a restaurant and /or event setting
- Able to motivate kitchen staff to ensure seamless service in a fast-paced environment
- Effectively communicate with culinary team and with all other resort employees particularly Restaurant Manager, Sales and Events Department
- A passion for food that drives you to highlight local produce, be allergen sensitive and appeal to a wide range of guests
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
