iHOTEL is one of Red Deer's full service hotels offering guest rooms and meeting and convention facilities. Our hotel offers restaurant, lounge and meeting and convention facilities. The hotel offers king and queen size room accommodations together with great facilities to hold the next meeting and convention.

iHOTEL is looking to hire upbeat and customer service oriented Front Desk Agents to assist with checking guests in an out of our beautiful hotel. The Front Desk Agent will assist guests with inquiries, problems and complaints and compliments while working at the reception.

The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for receiving guests’ payments and for balancing cash at end of shift. You will be familiar with the hotel layout, be up to date with different taxes and special offers, understand the in-house restaurant's operation to facilitate guests' dining reservations and to make recommendations, and be proficient with operating the switchboard. You will ensure keys are handed back on guests' departure.

Multi tasking is a great asset with switchboard telephone handling inquiries and making reservations. Following upbeat and handling multiple calls is important part of our busy front desk operations.

**Guest Services Responsibilities**:
**-Greeting and thanking guests in a sincere, friendly manner.**
- Personal grooming and business attire is important
- Checking guests in on arrival and out on departure.
- Posting charges to appropriate guest accounts - handling payments for the hotel.
- Anticipating and addressing guests' needs, and resolving their problems and complaints/compliments too
- Assisting guests with disabilities.
- Operating switchboard and assisting with inquiries.
- Assisting the reservations manager with taking reservations.
- Collaborating and communicating with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Complying with company procedures and safety policies.
- Performing duties on daily checklist and scripts for reservations

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or suitable equivalent.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance
- Shift work available 3 pm to 11 pm
- Physically agile, and able to stand for extended periods - 8 hour shifts
- Available to work shifts, over weekends and on public holidays

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
