Sound like you? Goodness Me is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Accounts Payable Coordinator for our Central Office Team. This position is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.
**Your day-to-day**:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will work as a member of the finance team responsible for the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions and related tasks. The successful applicant should have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
**Other tasks and duties include**:
- Use of software programs to process a large quantity of orders for weekly payment
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to solve order-related issues
- Reconcile AP transactions
- Assemble, review and verify invoices and cheque requests
- Track expenses and process expense reports
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Maintain vendor files
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Produce monthly reports and assist with month end closing
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
- Data input and management as processes and systems are improved
- Business analysis and reporting as required
- Other duties as assigned
**What you bring**:
- 3+ years of previous AP experience or a degree, diploma in business, finance, accounting or a related field.
- Detail oriented with an aptitude for numbers
- Self starter who can learn new skills and see/implement process improvements
- Can work independently with mínimal oversight with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in the Microsoft Suit, particularly Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
**Location and Travel**:
You’ll spend most of your time working remotely, but approximately 20% of the time you’ll be expected to travel to our Goodness Me Upper Gage location in Hamilton.
