**POSITION SCOPE**:
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Ensure excellent tenant relations through personal contact and excellent customer service.
- Manage the maintenance, repair and any other projects of assigned properties
- Inspect and arrange for maintenance to meet and maintain standards
- Oversee the duties of contractors and ensure maintenance activities are completed accurately
- Work with team to execute the strategy for making the project happen including planning, budgeting, master and detailed scheduling
- Ensure efficient operation, maintenance and repair of properties including compliance with all jurisdictional regulations, achievement of maintenance/life safety standards and sourcing cost effective ways to operate.
- Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur
- Negotiate and administer terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses upon request
- Making safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health, safety and the environment (HSE) are adhered to
- Communicating with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public, and the workforce
- Select tools, materials and equipment
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Work cooperatively with Leasing Brokers to support achievement of budgeted leasing projections.
- Other duties as required and assigned from time to time
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Degree or diploma in a related field required
- 5 years’ experience within a Property Management or related role
- **Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Ontario Building Code**:
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills necessary
- **Possess RPA, FMA or CPM designations**:
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and be willing to learn new software as required
- Must be able to drive daily to various location and therefore must have a reliable vehicle with valid insurance and G-license in good standing
**THIS POSITION ALSO REQUIRES**:
- Interactions with internal or external customers employing professional common courtesy, providing requisite and correct information along with straightforward support
- Organizational skills and multi-tasking in order to allocate one’s time effectively, work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience and ability working with complex information as related to analysis, problem solving, and reasoning to perform job duties with effectiveness
- Demonstrated capability to provide guidance of limited complexity to other staff as needed in relation to the execution of job duties and assigned projects
- Demonstrated understanding that work contributions have some influence beyond the immediate department and organization and as such duties are executed with care, accuracy and compliance to instructions
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and with common courtesy towards other departments, customers or suppliers while maintaining confidentiality.
- Capability to deliver a consistently high level of customer service to internal or external customers is required, discovering and comprehending their needs and providing efficient and effective support
- Understanding that work efforts and interaction with external parties has a direct impact on the employer brand and public reputation and as such ensure that behaviour and communications shall be professional and accurate at all times
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers within a work area and other departments
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Most work is performed in a standard office environment with common exposure to adverse conditions or health and safety risks
- Position requires high level of sustained visual attention, high manual dexterity on a regular basis with sitting at length
