**About the position**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for leading our operations team in Toronto. If you are looking for an exciting role in a team orientated environment this is the job for you

**What you’ll do**:

- Lead a diverse operations team in all warehousing and operational activities: distribution, packaging, blending and tank farm
- Oversee and support our operational activities for three sites
- Foster and promote our company culture though effective communication
- Maintain and uphold CBA terms and conditions
- Ensure all maintenance programs and trainings are up to date
- Minimize downtime and optimize efficiencies throughout all activities and processes
- Identify areas for continuous improvement both in infrastructure and processes
- Manage, evaluate, and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Ensure all procedures for Environment, Health and Safety are upheld
- Ensure receiving functions are handled accurately and promptly and all customer requirements are met safely and comply with corporate and government regulations
- Ensure inventory accuracy and cadence of physical counts are respected
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
- Oversee development projects and engage various contractors
- Interact with management to set and achieve goals relative to business needs and KPIs
- Oversee general office duties and administrative responsibilities
- Other duties as required

**What you’ll need**:

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Chemical distribution knowledge - sales, marketing, financial, procurement
- High level of decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrable customer focused attitude
- Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and take on new tasks
- Bilingualism is considered an asset
