The Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region (ASNR) is a community support service organization that provides programs and services to people living with dementia and their care partners in the Niagara Region. We work closely with other service providers to ensure quality care and support for our clients.
We employ administrative and fund development staff, educators, social workers, nurses, therapeutic rec staff, personal support workers and volunteers who work together as a team to meet the needs of people living with dementia and their care partners.

**Position Description**
**Position Title**:Manager of Education and Community Outreach
**Reports To**:Chief Operating Officer - Clinical Services
**Supervises**: Public Education Coordinator (1), Early-Stage Wellness Coordinator (1), Intake Coordinator (1), and Coordinator of Volunteer Programs (1)
**Hours of Work**:Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 pmFull-time, 40 hours/week; Paid lunch (flexibility required for evenings/weekend education sessions)

**Salary Range**:$67,000- $70,000 annually
**Position Summary**
The Manager of Education and Community Outreach supports the operational implementation and day-to-day oversight of a diverse portfolio of education, early-stage wellness, support groups, and community-based programs. Under the strategic guidance of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Clinical Services, this working manager role involves close collaboration to balance direct service delivery with cross-departmental leadership. The Manager ensures that programs are delivered effectively and consistently, aligning with organizational standards and strategic priorities.
This role will contribute directly to delivering educational programs to retirement facilities to enhance their ability to support resident wellbeing.
The Manager will supervise Coordinators across education, wellness, volunteer services, and intake and provide logístical oversight for group programs including Brain Wave Cafés and Support Groups. The role will manage venue scheduling, facilitator coordination, and budget support.
As an AlayaCare superuser, the Manager also supports internal reporting and documentation systems. Additional responsibilities include supporting student placements, overseeing budgets related to subsidy programs (e.g., Taxi, Incontinence, MedicAlert), and contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across programs.
**Direct Program Delivery & Public Education**
- Lead specialized dementia education sessions in retirement homes, ensuring high-quality, standardized delivery aligned with organizational messaging and best practices.
- As required, provide backup education support across facilitator roles and programs
- Represent the organization at learning fairs, outreach events, and stakeholder engagements in support of public awareness and community partnerships, as needed.
**Education Oversight**
- Supervise the Public Education Coordinator and provide leadership for the delivery and enhancement of education to the general public, the Finding Your Way program and the Aging and Dementia Simulation (ADS)..
