**Event Logistics & Staffing Team Member**
The Event Logistics Team as a whole has the overall responsibility of managing, directing and coordinating the assignment of operational equipment, employees and vehicles to event jobs and ensuring that event setups, deliveries and removals are executed with the appropriate equipment, personnel and vehicle. This team member is an integral part of the Logistics division and works in tandem with the rest of the logistics team. In addition, they also have the responsibility for tracking product experience of the staff assigned in order to appropriately assign them to events.
The following responsibilities are handled by the logistics team as a whole. Responsibilities are divided based on business levels, time of year and personal skills:
- The **Event Logistics Team** coordinates + follows up with Division’s managers and leadership to track development of staff on-site to improve and enable that team to take on larger and larger projects while the company continues to expand.
- This role is responsible for pulling all event information from internal software and analysing the provided information to pull the necessary data from work orders. This information is then used to create run sheets that provide staff with details on the order including product, staff and vehicle assigned.
- The **Event Logistics Team** ensures that appropriate Vehicle Compliance parameters are considered when assigning drivers to events.
- This role ensures that driving logs and maintenance are kept up to date as well as MVI on all vehicles.
- The **Event Logistics Team** ensures that vehicles and loads are appropriately planned and oversees the preloading captain roles to ensure that product is appropriately placed within the vehicles and assigned to the correct trucks for transport through daily spot checks, audits and one on one training.
- Will coordinate vehicle rental contracts by looking ahead at busy event time periods and proactively reserving vehicles.
- Host short briefings with operational staff and leaders prior to events, and follow up with this team after events to ensure goals and timelines were/are both realistic and delivered on time.
- Ensure that Operational managers and leadership are made aware of team successes and shortfalls, so that they can use this information to better coach and develop their team.
- This role works closely with the General Manager to communicate operational staffing needs to be passed along to the HR department. The **Event Logistics Team** must work with the General Manager to agree on staffing parameters and labour limits within scheduled divisions. The **Event Logistics Team** refers to the General Manager to approve all staff transfers between divisions ensuring that the right permanent transfers are being made for the greater good of the business.
- Responsible for coordinating and approving or denying employees time off requests.
- The **Event Logistics Team **communicates to each team member their job assignments, start times and sets the expectation for the shift.
- The logistics team handles staffing rearrangements following sick calls and last-minute changes to events.
- Keeps contact lists updated for employee communication.
- The **Event Logistics Team **maintains a 24 hour emergency line for issues both on site and during events.
- Responsible for the daily payroll management of a large group.
**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Excellent skills in communication, delegation, problem solving, multi-tasking and team building.
- Ability to understand both the logístical nature and customer service aspects of our business.
- Cool under pressure
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office

This team is expected to be able communicate effectively, speak, listen and write in a clear, concise and timely manner using appropriate communication tools and techniques. Must be motivated by the successes and achievements of the team, and foster a policy of open communication with the necessary leadership team members to ensure employees are developed appropriately and reaching delivery goals of the company. Must be able to handle an influx of information from multiple sources and pull the most important information required for logístical planning.
**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
