Golf Course Superintendent

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and supervise daily golf course maintenance operations, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive turf management plan to ensure optimal playing conditions.
- Lead and motivate a team of groundskeepers, providing training and guidance to ensure the highest quality of work.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and repair programs to ensure the proper functioning of all course maintenance equipment.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and manage the annual budget for the maintenance department.
- Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in turf management and course maintenance.
- Coordinate and execute course improvement projects, including automatic drip irrigation, landscaping, bunker renovations, and drainage improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for the maintenance team.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or 3 years as assistant superintendent.
- Degree or certification in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field.
- A Landscape Exterminators License will be an asset.
- IPM certification will be an asset.
- Record Permit to take water reports will be an asset.
- Spray license or willing to obtain it will be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices, irrigation systems, and pest control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and manage budgets.
- Familiarity with golf course construction and renovation projects.
- Knowledge of environmental best practices in golf course management.
