**Description**:
**ABOUT THE ROLE**-
**WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH**Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to dozers, graders, loaders, skid steers, and rollers to support base preparation and placement activities.
- Follow grade stakes, blueprints, and verbal instructions to achieve proper slopes, elevations, and compaction.
- Assist with site preparation and set-up, including traffic control and placement of safety barriers when required.
- Communicate effectively with crew members, foremen, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and job site safety.
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with company and project specifications and quality standards.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOREducation**:
**Education**:High School Diploma or equivalent
**Required Work Experience**:Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in road construction or civil works**Required Training/Certifications**:Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required; Class 1 or 3 with Air Brakes Endorsement is an asset; G Endorsement is an asset; safety certifications (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid) are assets**Required Technical Skills**:Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment safely and efficiently; knowledge of grading techniques, compaction, and construction drawings**Travel Requirements**:Knowledge of the City of Saskatoon and surrounding area**Additional Requirements**:
- Able to work in fast-pace environment
- Must be physically fit for repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, kneeling, sitting, and standing for long periods.
- Perform general labor duties as required, including raking, shoveling, and material handling.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of equipment, ensuring that machinery is in safe working condition.
- Conduct basic maintenance, cleaning, and fueling of equipment as needed.
- Experience with TopCon and Trimble GPS equipment is an asset.
