**General Summary.....**

The primary function will be to assist the engineering and maintenance supervisor in all activities related to the upkeep, prevention, maintenance and documentation of both equipment and systems.

- Assist the supervisor in all activities related to the upkeep, prevention, maintenance and documentation of both equipment and systems to minimize downtime;
- Maintain an efficient, clean and safe work environment in accordance with the FedEx Supply Chain and CNESST customer standards;
- Respond to building maintenance calls in a timely manner;
- Ensure the general maintenance of the building;
- Complete various monitoring and control reports as required;
- Support other professional bodies when required;
- Perform all other tasks and responsibilities as requested by management.

**Physical/Cognitive Requirements**
- Successfully completed the FedEx Supply Chain’s probationary period;
- One to two years of work experience in an industrial environment
- Excellent performance and safety record in current role (no disciplinary action or absenteeism issues);
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity and general industrial maintenance;
- Ability to maintain and repair building equipment;
- Knowledge of WHMIS standards;
- Ability to work in a computerized environment and maintain a checklist of (batteries / chargers);
- Ability to operate moving motorized equipment;
- Particular attention to detail and great sense of customer service;
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, standing for long periods of time and working at heights;
- Verbal and written bilingualism;
- Day or evening schedule.
