**Some things we are looking for so you can be successful in this role**:

- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control, and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
- Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions
- Test and adjust units to specifications for the proper performance
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups

**Requirements**:

- 2-4 years of General Motors Company product and experience, and/or General Motors dealership experience
- Valid G driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract required
- ** Will accept 5th year apprentice**:

- Automotive Service Technician (310S), member of the Ontario College of Trades, or eligibility to obtain both
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and rotating Saturdays;
- Automotive service technician (transmission, steering, suspension, and brakes) trade certification
- Computer literate
- Hoist and WHMIS Training considered an asset
