We’re looking for a **Cyber Security Technician** to join our growing security team. You’ll work closely with our **Sr.** **Cyber Security Analyst** to monitor client environments, respond to security alerts, and help strengthen our clients’ protection against evolving threats.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Monitor networks, endpoints, and systems for security alerts or suspicious activity
- Investigate and assist in responding to security incidents
- Perform vulnerability scans and support patch management
- Help deploy and maintain cybersecurity tools such as **firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, and encryption solutions**:

- Deliver **phishing awareness training**, support related security documentation, and work closely with clients to ensure a positive and effective learning experience.
- Stay current on cyber threats and assist with risk assessments
- Work closely with senior analysts and clients to resolve issues and improve security posture
- Participate in on-call rotation and team meetings

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **2-3 years** of cybersecurity or IT security experience
- Technical diploma or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with **Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and On-Premise Active Directory**:

- Knowledge of **Fortinet, Cisco/Meraki**, or similar firewalls (a plus)
- Enthusiastic about learning new security tools and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Must be a **Canadian Citizen** or **permanent resident**, fluent in English
- Must live in the province of **Alberta**:

- Criminal background check required upon offer

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
