**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
- Assist in meal preparation by following instructions from chefs and ensuring timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during all food handling processes.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service times.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation.
