**Program Overview**:
The JVS **Employment Source Markham** office, funded by MLITSD, provides a range of services at one location, including information and referral services, one-on-one employment counselling, employment workshops, and job development placement services. We provide our services to a variety of clients, including persons with disabilities and those on Ontario Works, whom we help gain employment in their field.

JVS Toronto’s **Workforce Specialist **(WFS) team works to develop relationships with employers and market our clients in an effort to help them secure work. We are looking for an outgoing individual who is comfortable prospecting employment opportunities and growing employer relationships to ensure targets are met.

**We’re looking for someone who will**:

- Proactively engage in prospecting and cold calling activities on a daily basis, aiming for a minimum of 100 calls per week, developing job leads and ensuring a diverse range of opportunities that align with client skills.
- Highlight the value of programs and services to businesses, with a primary focus on acquiring new accounts and successfully placing clients into suitable employment.
- Negotiate and achieve job placement targets by securing new job orders each month, leveraging a variety of sales/job development techniques, tools and expertise.
- Monitor job placements and maintain retention outcomes in accordance with established KPIs, including providing ongoing assistance to address work-related issues.
- Provide support and innovate opportunities related to employment related events and initiatives, i.e. job fairs, hiring events, and information sessions.
- Support community outreach efforts by forging partnerships with community and culturally specific organizations.
- Maintain confidential records of employer and client interactions using our CRM tool to ensure accuracy and facilitate effective collaboration to all involved stakeholders.
- Flexible hours / evenings / weekends may be required for this position._

**Minimum Qualifications & Experiences**:

- College diploma in Sales or Marketing, or equivalency
- 1 year of sales, outreach, staffing and/or telemarketing experience
- Ability to leverage a sales model to produce an optimal number of job leads
- Comfortable with lead generation, cold calling, presentations and research
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle as travel is required for this position
- Experience working with diverse populations and barriers
- Ability to speak another language an asset (please specify)
- Police background check required
