**Foster Family Suppor Worker**

We are currently searching for an energetic individual to support medically complex children overnight in their home. This is a Pet friendly home in Barrhaven that is bus accessible.

**Shifts**:Option of Sundays to Wednesdays _**or **_Mondays to Thursdays: 11pm-9am _**or **_11:30pm to 9:30am.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Medical support for children including medication administration, TPN, and tube feeds.
- Charting/documentation
- Inventory and restocking medical supplies.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Support with personal hygiene.
- Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

**Qualifications**
- Standard First aid & CPR level C
- Experience with Disabilities / Medically fragile children
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Clear Children's Aid Records Check (CAS Check)

**Salary information**
- Salary is dependent on experience
- Shift premiums for weekend and overnight awake shifts, signing bonus and $3/hour Government Wage Enhancement is available on top of base rate

Previous experience is required, but we are open to individuals with **transferable skills such as**
- support worker, personal support worker, caregiver, social work, community support worker, PSW, developmental service worker, child and youth worker, residential support worker, DSW, group home experience

- 10 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:

**Experience**:

- personal hygiene support: 1 year (preferred)
- working with children: 1 year (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Overnight Shift (required)
