Position Summary:
Acuren is seeking an experienced **E&I QA Coordinator** for our Spring outage season. This role is responsible for the quality assurance of Turnaround electrical and instrumentation scope. It interfaces with Reliability Engineers, Project Engineers, Mtce Engineer, Technicians, Mtce Coordinators, Mtce Supervisors, Operations Supervisors, Operations Maintenance Coordinators (OMC).

**Project and Role Schedule**:
The start date of this role will be Febuary 1, 2025. For the first month this role will follow a Monday-Friday 40/hours/week postion for training, scope understanding, shadowing. Once complete, the turnaround is 10 weeks of a 6/1 shift rotation with 12 hour days.
This role will then resume standard office hours and then back to project turaround rotations throughout the seasons.
This role could be a mix of both Day shift and Night shift during project rotations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform inspections of electrical system installations. Primarily low voltage, but may include medium and high voltage systems (i.e., I&C, power distribution/generation etc.)
- Reporting of, inspecting and rectifying non-conformances, including working with contractor to document and resolve non-conformances.
- Reviewing scopes of work and provide feedback to Engineering.
- Review and approval of ITPs, ITRs, turnover packages.
- Ensure assets are constructed per the final engineering design, IPL specifications, standards, regulations and permits, and approved scope changes.
- Liaise between IPL Operations, Engineering, Construction Coordinators and Contractors
- Ensure timely and accurate quality reporting. Ensure a construction deficiency list is generated, maintained and closed.
- Ensure construction turnover records are completed accurately and on schedule, to support handover to the commissioning team.
- Represents IPL professionally when dealing with outside contractors and/or regulatory agencies and reflects the IPL Brand and Company Values.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the business, trends, policies and procedures, operational needs, impact on the organization and information needed when performing all aspects of the job.
- Models outstanding safety leadership through field engagements, audits, recognition, and a proactive focus on leading indicators.
- Performing quality assurance and oversite on all project activities at HPC electrical and instrumentation installations.
- Complete all QA documentation and any other reports that are required for the project
- Monitor supplies and materials used to complete the projects.
- Represent company in project meetings and Pre-Startup Safety Review Meetings.
**Requirements**:
- Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, and/or a minimum of 10 yrs. experience with industrial electrical experience in inspection, construction, repair and maintenance in a petrochemical complex
- Required to hold a Journeyman Electrical Ticket in Alberta and/or Interprovincial Red Seal.
- Instrumentation Journeyman ticket is considered an asset.
- Working Knowledge in the construction principles of CSA C22.1-18 Canadian Electrical Code, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA.
- Familiarity with IBM Maximo/ Smart completions and SAP are both assets.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, time management and organizational skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
