**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and set up CNC mill machines, prepare and load tools as per tool list provided by the programmer, including loading materials to ensure accurate and efficient operations
- Operate CNC mill machines, responsible for 1st off and make necessary adjustments to ensure precise machining and adherence to tolerances
- Inspect finished parts to verify dimensions with the part drawing provided
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC mill machines, including cleaning, lubrication, refill coolant, and tool replacement to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Maintain accurate records of machining activities, including program changes, tool usage, and production quantities
- Machinists must have their own tools, vernier caliper, measuring tape, dial indicator, notepad, and a toolbox to carry all these items
- Machinist must have good knowledge regarding G&M codes and GD&T, must be able to identify all the tools such as end mills, drills, etc
- Machinist must be responsible to debur and tap all the parts and to ensure all the parts are ready for post processes
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Safely handle and load raw materials into CNC machines, and unload finished parts, following material handling guidelines and procedures
- Identify and resolve issues such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, or programming errors to minimize downtime
- Promote and maintain a culture of safety by following safety protocols and reporting any safety hazards or incidents promptly
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment
- Keep track of tool inventory and report when tool replacements or reordering is necessary
- Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to convey progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and use critical thinking to resolve problems
- Must be able to make quick decisions and be responsible for the allocated work
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine cleaning of CNC machines and workstations

**Qualifications**:
- College Diploma as a CNC Machinist or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of work experience as a CNC Machinist
- Experience with tight tolerances parts (0.0005”)
- Experience with one-off, custom precision parts
- Knowledge of GD & T
- Familiar with G & M Codes
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM
- Experience with Mastercam is an asset
- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
