**Position Overview**

**What we can offer you**

In this role, you’ll act as a business technology analyst, focussed on documenting, analyzing, and improving business processes while considering opportunities to implement, improve, and integrate technology to enhance efficiency and optimize business outcomes.

You’ll assess the challenges faced by both applicants and staff, recommend innovative solutions, and guide the implementation of process and technology improvements.

You’ll need a keen interest in process improvement and service design, combined with strong change management skills, as you’ll be tasked with bringing a structured approach to solving complex problems.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- **Stakeholder collaboration**: Engage with staff, applicants, and community stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements
- **Change management**:Support change management efforts, including stakeholder communication, training, and monitoring progress to ensure successful adoption of new solutions
- **Data-driven decision making**:Leverage tools like Power BI to analyze trends, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement of services
- **Vendor coordination**: Work with technology providers to evaluate and implement solutions tailored to the District’s needs while balancing technical, business, and policy considerations

**What you’ll need to succeed**
As per the Business Systems Support Analyst class specification, you need:

- A natural curiosity coupled with an analytical way of thinking and the ability to explain difficult concepts to nontechnical users at all levels of the organization
- An ability to work in a blended team of onsite and remote team members, in a fast-paced environment
- A high level of initiative, creativity, and flexibility
- The ability to analyze and evaluate requirements to develop logical solutions for problems
- Very strong collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills

**Qualifications**
Completion of a 2-year diploma program in computer systems technology from a recognized institute of technology, plus considerable related experience including some system design and analysis experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

**Salary**: The pay range for this unionized position is $46.07 to $54.44 per hour (2024 rates)
**Hours of Work**: 35-hour work week (Compressed work schedule available)
