**Assistant Supervisor - Full-Time (4-5 Days/Week, Including Weekends)**

**Location**: The Stock Market, Granville Island Public Market

**Wage**: $20/hour

The Stock Market — Granville Island’s beloved soup shop — is looking for a **reliable, confident, and experienced Assistant Supervisor** to help manage our front-of-house operations and support our team behind the scenes.

We’re a **small-batch kitchen and retail counter** serving a **loyal customer base** at our Granville Island Public Market location. We offer a **rotating menu of hot soups**, along with a selection of **fresh, housemade stocks, sauces, dressings, and prepared foods**.

As Assistant Supervisor, you’ll work closely with our Supervisor to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, with a focus on customer service, staff support, and inventory/ordering tasks.

**What You’ll Do**
- Provide excellent customer service and set the tone for a positive, professional atmosphere
- Support and lead the front-of-house team during busy shifts
- Assist with inventory, stock checks, and placing small orders as needed
- Step in to help the Supervisor with basic backend responsibilities
- Help train and guide newer staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas
- Ensure smooth communication between team members

**What We’re Looking For**
- Experience in a **shift lead or supervisory role** in the food or customer service industry
- **Confident and grounded** — you’re someone who can hold your own in a leadership role
- Familiarity with **ordering and inventory** is a strong asset
- A **team player** who’s also comfortable taking initiative
- **Willing to learn and grow** with the team
- **Available weekends** — but no late nights
