Marine Service Technician

We are looking for an Experienced Service Technician to join our growing premier powersports service department. A permanent, full-time Monday - Friday position is available. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and highly self-motivated individual to join our team

Duties Include:

- Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment
- Mandatory that each technician has his/her own tools and toolbox.
- Test parts and systems to ensure that the product is working as specified by the manufacture
- Follow and complete all necessary forms or checklist to ensure products are fixed correctly
- Perform Maintenance and Winterization on engines, boats, trailers but not limited to those listed
- Repair or replace worn parts in a requested or specified time period
- Disassemble and reassemble parts in a requested or specified time period
- Explain to Service Advisor the problems and repairs required to each specific work order
- Perform inspections for insurance purposes
- Steel Toe boots or shoes are mandatory
- Safety Glasses are mandatory while in the shop
- The technician is required to transfer units to and from the yard to the shop but limited to that area specifically
- Must get all required parts from Service Advisor
- The shop must be kept clean and tidy in accordance with safe practice procedures
- Any other duties as assigned*

*Any other duties may be assigned based on the dealerships needs & requirement

Assets or Requirements:

- BRP and/or Mercury Engine experience an asset
- Having a forklift permit would be an asset
- Be able to work alone and occasionally as part of a team
- Be able to work under pressure or within a tight schedule
- Be able to show initiative

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Technician: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Drivers License (preferred)
