**Social Service Coordinator - Full Time**

Glen Hill Strathaven is a 158 bed, long term care facility located in Bowmanville. We are currently recruiting for the full time position of Social Service Coordinator

As a member of the long term-care home’s senior staff, will act as support to residents and their families including but not limited to, coordination of resident admissions in conjunction with the Director of Care, registered staff and Business Coordinator, orientation to the home, interpretation and follow-through of resident and family needs, referral of resident and /or family intervention as required.

The Social Services Coordinator is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the core values and employee guiding principles, ensure resident safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have at least two years relevant experience in social work or other related field.
- A certificate or degree in Social Work
- Must possess specialized knowledge in gerontology or any field related to seniors. Experience in a long-term care setting would be preferable.
- Must be mature and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have experience in working as part of an interdisciplinary team;
- Must possess excellent leadership and communications skills;
