**Bookkeeping duties**:
- Account Receivables: Post customer payments by recording cheques, direct deposits, and journal entries.
- Handle inter-company billing of invoices.
- Accounts Payable Reconciliation: Review accounts payable aging reports; Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Bank and Credit card Reconciliation: Print Bank Statements for company bank accounts; Reconcile the deposits and withdrawals as per bank statements; Prepare and post Journal Entries for bank interest, service fees, printing cheques fee, bank entries, etc.; Prepare bank reconciliations reports indicating the bank and the books balances, reports for withdrawals and deposits in transit.
- Support the month-end closings, budgets, forecast, and cash flow reports.
- Handle QST/HST / WSIB Filings, and monthly corporate income tax payment, and payroll remittances.
- Support the internal and external audits and government regulator’s request.
- Carry out other administrative and assistant duties as required.
- A minimum of 3 years working as a bookkeeper or intermediate accountant.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proficiency with Sage/Simply Accounting
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Be able to work remotely with minimum supervision.
**Administrative duties**:
- Prepare incoming cheques for bank deposits and process authorized credit card payments.
- Process expenses and reimbursements
- Input timesheets and organize travel for the team
- Provide administrative support to management and the Manager of Business Development including proofreading documents, updating marketing materials as required.
- Provide office oversight in terms of: Processing and obtaining Security Clearances for employees; Other administrative duties as required
