Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years

Documentation Knowledge
- Trans-border documentation, Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports, and Inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Specific Skills
- Operate and drive tractor trailer to transport goods and materials as a Long Haul Truck Driver
- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials to destinations in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as the condition of equipment, loading, and unloading, perform daily safety and security of cargo and maintenance checks
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights and breaks, etc.
- Ensure truck and equipment are safely and secured and stored
- Plan your trip according to the weather conditions
- Clean trucks as scheduled and or/required
- Follow safety procedures for transporting hazardous goods
- Manage Bill of Ladings and other expense receipts pertaining to the trip
- Maintain Log Books according to rules and regulations
- Record cargo information, distance traveled, fuel consumption
- Communicate with the dispatcher at least twice a day for updates
