**About the Opportunity**:
The Mental Health Clerk will provide administrative support to the Mental Health Clinic. In the clinical environment duties include, but are not limited to, patient registrations, maintaining confidential documentation and filing, and referral triage processing. The clerk will provide front line customer service which will include greeting clients and providing them with applicable direction and assistance within the Community Health Centre environment.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Completion of a recognized Medical Secretary program preferred, or an equivalent combination of continuing education and experience.
- Completion of a Medical Terminology Course
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Meditech
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide accurate and timely information.
- Interpersonal skills resulting in the ability to deal effectively with varied situations and personalities.
- Organizational skills to prioritize workload and accomplish tasks within a constant deadline driven environment.
- Flexibility to adapt easily to change and manage multiple tasks.
- Respect confidentiality of all health care information.
- Ensure all staff, patients and members of the public are treated courteously and with respect.
- Supports and delivers quality patient care and promotes adherence to the health authority’s accreditation standards.
- Demonstrated satisfactory work attendance in current and past employment
- Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset

**Hours**:

- Permanent Full Time Position; 70 Hours Bi-weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
