**Pharmacy Staff (Veterinary) - Signing Bonus**

The Ottawa Animal Emergency & Specialty Hospital (OAESH) is a veterinarian-owned, 24-hour emergency and specialty facility. We serve Ottawa, Gatineau, and the surrounding area. We welcome animal emergency transfers and walk-in patients from any clinic in the region. Specialty services include Dentistry, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology.

OAESH treats thousands of patients every year on an exclusively emergency or referral basis. We believe that patient care is paramount and strive to provide the ideal workplace to make that possible. We are looking to add to our Pharmacy Team.

Key responsibilities of team members include:

- Understand medication for patients and prepare prescriptions,
- Provide discharge instructions to clients over the phone,
- Manage the stock of our controlled drug along with the rest of the Pharmacy Team,
- Perform audits of the controlled drugs in the hospital,
- Stock inventory in the Pharmacy and the hospital as orders are received,
- Stock the blood fridge and liaise with the Canadian Animal Blood Bank as needed,
- Help with patients as needed,
- Support the hospital in the implementation of new procedures and process improvements related to the Pharmacy,
- Perform other duties related to the operation of the Pharmacy and Hospital as required.

A minimum of 1 year of veterinary or pharmacy experience is preferred.

Preference will be given to those who are bilingual in English and French.

**Experience**:

- Veterinary or pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)

**Salary**: $19.70-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
