Protemp Glass, a division of the Toro Group of Companies, is a manufacturer of insulated glass units, tempered glass, shower doors, glass entrance systems, spandrel glass and decorative glass. Conveniently located at 360 Applewood Crescent in Concord, ON.

REPORTING & AVAILABLE POSITIONS

The Plant Employees report directly to the Shift Supervisor of Protemp Glass Inc. We are looking for employees to work on the day and afternoon shifts with experience in one of the following:

- Working with glass / in the glass industry
- Operating glass cutting/edging equipment
- Operating glass tempering machines
- Glass fabrication
- General glass knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operate and/or assist in operating glass cutting, edging and tempering machines to produce products of high quality
- Lift raw and finished products from machines, package and ship glass
- Check for quality and deficiencies in the final product
- Maintain a clean work area
- Perform work in a safe manner, adhere to all company safety rules
- Perform other duties as required

HOURS: Monday-Thursday 6am to 4:30pm or Monday to Thursday 4:30p.m to 2:30a.m

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to work in a safe manner with little supervision
- 1+ years of experience in the glass industry is an asset
- 1+ manufacturing experience
- Ability to use a tape measure
- Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
- Attention to detail, teamwork and problem solving skills
- Able and willing to work days or afternoon shifts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $18.60 per hour
