Electrical Assembler

**Position Overview**
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing electronic equipment, components, and parts while ensuring proper setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams, as well as use hand and power tools such as soldering guns, drills, and precision measuring equipment. The Electrical Assembler will perform precise fitting of parts to meet close tolerances and operational requirements, connect cables and wires to complete assemblies and installations, and conduct testing of electrical assemblies, equipment, and wiring for proper performance using devices such as meters and analyzers. The role also involves assembling and attaching hardware components, soldering connectors and wires to boards, and performing setup and maintenance of
electronic test equipment.
**Essential Job Function**
- Being able to read blueprints, schematics and other technical diagrams.
- Fit parts to very close tolerances and operating requirements.
- Use of hand and power tools such as soldering gun, drills and precision measuring equipment.
- Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Connect cables and wires to complete assemblies and installations.
- Test electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring for proper performance using testing devices such as meters, analyzers, etc.
- Maintain and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform set-up and maintenance of electronic test equipment.
- Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies.
- Solder connectors and wires to boards.
- Understand and utilize ESD practices.
- Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety safe work requirements.
- Experience with VNA test equipment and RF test practices would be an asset.
- Any other related duties as assigned.
**Experience and Skills**:
**Job Requirements**
- Completion of Secondary School diploma
- 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical, and electrical assembly experience.
- Extensive knowledge of electronic components
- Mathematically inclined
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
- Ability to work in isolation or with a team
- Willingness to extend knowledge and ability in the role
**Work Conditions**
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
- Manual lifting of various weighted products may be occasionally required
- Standing for long periods of time - 60%
- Sitting and using computer - 30%-60%
- Walking -30%-60%
- Use of personal protective equipment may be required
- Overtime work may be required
