We are currently looking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic individual with Retirement Home or related experience to act as_**General**_**Manager of Billings Lodge to provide leadership for a dedicated and caring staff**.

Previous experience in a senior position in a Retirement Home or similar healthcare business is required.

**Position**:
As the General Manager you will lead a dynamic team dedicated to providing excellence in resident care. With overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the home you will work closely with the management team to maintain a positive resident-centric culture, promote an understanding of best practices, play a key leadership and collaborative role in quality improvement and ensure ongoing compliance with legislation and regulations while working within budgetary requirements.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:
Ensuring the development of an empowered and motivated staff through effective recruiting, coaching, training management, conflict resolution and effective team management practices.

Ensuring appropriate training requirements are met.

Staff scheduling.

Organizing tours for prospective residents and their families, and management of the admissions process.

Management of policies and procedures, reflective of daily operations.

Well versed with RHRA policies and training requirements.

In concert with the management team, the development of strategic plans and goal setting, recommending future enhancements and changes in policies and process to achieve quality improvement goals.

Oversee the care department including documentation and plans of care.

**Qualifications**:
Ideally you have experience working with seniors in a health care or related business in any of the following capacities - Nurse/Management/Marketing.

Related administrative/management experience. Prior experience with RHRA policies is helpful.

Core competencies include team leadership, communication, organization and planning.

Having involvement with the health care community/Hospital/LHIN will be a definite asset.
