Your Opportunity:
Calgary Zone Addiction and Mental Health (AMH) is looking for a motivated and innovative Manager to lead the Calgary Cochrane and Bow Corridor AMH services. The Manager is a key leadership role and reports to the Director, CZ NW Adult Addiction & Mental Health Programs. The position covers a large geographic area, involving regular travel to five different program sites in Cochrane, Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise. Services consist of Adult, Child and Adolescent, Geriatric and Addictions subspecialty teams, and supports the treatment and recovery of individuals living in rural communities who suffer with moderate to severe addiction or mental illnesses. Outreach services include geriatric outreach, youth outreach and the recent addition of the regional Police and Crisis Team (RPACT), an important partnership with the RCMP to provide crisis response to persons in rural areas surrounding Calgary.
Description:
This position is responsible for providing the direction, leadership, and organization to a large multidisciplinary team of staff (including nursing, allied health, addiction counsellors, clinical supervisors, mental health clinicians, and administrative support staff) supporting concurrent, complex needs and vulnerable populations in the Cochrane and Bow Corridor areas. The Manager works in close partnership with the Director while being responsible and accountable for the delivery of high-quality, accessible, sustainable client and family-focused care. Supporting staff, facilitating change management and ensuring the effective deployment of resources through budget management/variance reporting are key responsibilities. The role also entails strong collaboration with many local non-Recovery Alberta services including local Indigenous communities, police, rural primary care networks, education, and child welfare services. This position is responsible (both individually and collaboratively) for: Strategic planning, fiscal management, implementing and maintaining standards of professional practice. Hiring, supervising and evaluating professional and support staff. Implementing changes related to processes and structures to achieve improved access, quality of care and resource allocation.

**Required Qualifications**:
A Baccalaureate degree in a health profession with current registration in an applicable regulatory body. A demonstrated a clear pattern of professional and personal development. A minimum of five years of work experience delivering Addiction and Mental Health services, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity with progressive leadership roles in a healthcare environment is necessary (equivalencies may be considered).

A master's level degree or higher is preferred. Formal training in health administration; or leadership is an asset. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training. Incident Command System training/experience preferred. Fluency in Connect Care and Connect Care reporting is an asset for this role.
