**Job Title: Adult Education Facilitator**

**Duration**: September 1, 2025, through June 26, 2026, with the opportunity to renew the contract annually based on grant funding.

**Schedule**: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

**Starting Salary**: $25.00 per hour

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Adult Education Facilitator to support adult learners in improving their basic math and English language skills, and to guide them toward earning an alternative high school diploma (CAEC). The role also involves leading the CALP (Community Adult Learning Program) Conversation Circle, providing one-on-one CELPIP tutoring, and offering foundational literacy and numeracy education to enhance life skills, employment opportunities, and further educational pursuits.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instructional Support**:

- Deliver personalized instruction in basic math and English language skills to adult learners.
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs and goals.
- Assist learners in preparing for their alternative high school diploma (CAEC).
- **Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Tutoring**:

- Provide one-on-one tutoring to support foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
- Create individualized learning plans to address specific learner needs and goals.
- **CELPIP Tutoring**:

- Provide one-on-one tutoring for CELPIP test preparation, focusing on Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening.
- Offer personalized feedback and strategies for each test component.
- Develop tailored learning plans to address specific strengths and weaknesses, enhancing skills and confidence for achieving target scores.
- **Conversation Circle Facilitation**:

- Organize and lead weekly CALP Conversation Circles.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment to encourage participation and engagement.
- Facilitate discussions on Canadian culture, local and national topics to help build language proficiency and cultural understanding.
- **Learner Engagement**:

- Foster a supportive learning atmosphere that builds confidence and motivation among adult learners.
- Provide feedback and encouragement to help learners progress and achieve their educational goals.
- Encourage social connections and integration within the community.
- **Program Development and Reporting**:

- Collaborate with the program team to develop and refine educational materials and resources.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and participation.
- Provide regular reports on program outcomes and learner achievements.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven ability to work independently with strong self-motivation and direction.
- Ability to work as a team, collaborate, and brainstorm with colleagues.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers and adult learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Familiarity with Canadian culture and societal context is an asset.
- Fluent in English with impeccable speaking and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams, and Windows.
- A Vulnerable Sector Check is required for this position. This check ensures the safety and well-being of those we serve.

**Education**:

- Highschool diploma or equivalent.

**Working Conditions**:

- Part-time position with flexible hours Monday - Thursday.
- Position based in Edson Provincial Building.
- Training provided
