AMJ Campbell KW has an **Operations Manager** **position** available in Cambridge, ON.

The Operations leader is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing a diverse team of household and commercial team members in often fast-paced divisions. These divisions require a leader of considerable judgement and initiative in planning work programs and the success of each move. The Operations Manager will be responsible for setting the tone of the team and operations, engaging with customers and other agencies in a professional, service and solution-oriented manner.

Operations/ Dispatch Administrative responsibilities:

- Oversee day to day operations of our various moving divisions (household, office moving, installation, warehousing)
- Assist with managing daily crews ranging from 3-50 staff members and 3-5 supervisors depending on peak/non peak seasonal needs
- Work with management team and Human resources to ensure employee hiring is on par with forecasted business needs on a monthly basis (i.e. performance reviews, incentives, etc)
- Work with our fleet manager to ensure our truck fleet and equipment is maintained properly
- operating roughly 30-40 trucks and 40 trailers
- Main liaison with our mechanics to arrange repairs and maintenance
- Ensuring all paperwork/i.t. systems are operating and done correctly when flowing to accounting
- Assist with problematic situations and make concise decisions in a timely fashion
- Assist with managing work flow and schedules to ensure deadlines are met, priorities are recognized and policies and procedures are followed.
- Facilitate and oversee household deliveries across the country along with our customer service team
- Provide documentation and tracking information pertaining to cross border documentation and bills of lading
- Managing employee hours and maximizing resources
- Work with sales team to ensure work days are filled to capacity and drivers’ schedules are filled
- You will be directly overseeing 2 operational staff and two warehouse staff along with 20-50 front line employees

**Requirements**:

- Outstanding communication (written/verbal)
- Ability to be empowered to manage a team and be responsible for our entire operations
- Provide reports and updates regularly to the General Manager
- Highly motivated, driven, business development professional with a positive attitude
- 5+ years of operations, planning, management and/or dispatching experience
- Working hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:30pm (these shifts can fluctuate and need adjustment as job needs may vary from day to day. Occasional Saturdays may be needed, with advanced notice)
- will also be empowered to create your team and hours accordingly along with guidance

Good to have:
A post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in logistics, operations or related experience

Valid DZ or AZ license (not mandatory, but ideal)

Bilingual English and French is an asset

**Salary**:

- Wide range depending on experience in Dispatching and the Moving and Transportation industry.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
