**Participate in Meaningful Work**
As part of the Research and Committee Services branch, you will use your strong research and superior writing and editing skills to provide nonpartisan research and support to the Standing, Special and Legislative Policy Committees of the Assembly. You will analyze and interpret legislation, prepare summaries, cross jurisdictional comparisons and other briefings in addition to Committee reports.

You will work flexible hours and scheduling as necessary in support of sessional/committee activities.

You have exceptional communication skills that enable you to present your research and respond to inquiries in knowledgeable way; and your outstanding interpersonal skills allow you to interact effectively with team members and clients.

**Bring your excellence to the LAO**
Your background includes a Master’s Degree in the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or related field, foundational knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research tools and methodologies, and an understanding of public policy issues.

Previous work experience in a research role including practical experience working with and interpreting legislation is an asset. Familiarity through experience with statistical analysis, financial statements and analysis, and policy analysis is an asset
