- You have minimum 5-10 years of work experience in a high-volume Retail environment or Distribution Center (warehouse experience is a strong asset but not
necessary).
- You are totally cool with working in a physically demanding, fast-paced, environment and can quickly take initiative and ownership of unexpected situations.
- You have in depth knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations, as well as the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture.
- You are computer savvy and generally comfortable with technology (and can easily learn new software and systems).
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Ensure that we have a well-maintained safe site for all visitors, customers and co-workers in compliance with the building standards, legislation and IKEA Group
Property and Risk requirements.
- Take care of our facilities and assets; maintaining them to the highest standard making sure that the site is “In Shape as New” every day, by prioritizing asset
maintenance to maximizing equipment service life while maintaining the budget.
- Organize and manage all building related maintenance activities ensuring that our sustainability commitment, Health & Safety processes are followed and
implemented.
- Secure that the infrastructure of the store Unit, the technical equipment including Material Handling Equipment, conveyors and all other technical components
are well maintained, cost
- effective and energy efficient.
- Ensure that the intrusion and prevention systems, CCTV, fire detection, are in good
working order and being used properly.
- Manage the security, maintenance and services of the store facilities to ensure that they meet our co-workers, customers and business needs.
- Actively support the unit, team objectives, manage and develop a team that promotes a safety-first culture and has the motivation, knowledge, and confidence to
provide our customers with a quality shopping experience.
